The London Borough of Barnet is London’s most populous borough and among the largest in terms of area. Barnet was formed in 1965 by the merger of Finchley, Hendon, Friern Barnet, East Barnet and Barnet in Hertfordshire. Barnet boasts impressive architecture and is home to two Grade II listed buildings in addition to the modern Royal Air Force Museum.
Designed by architect Sir Edwin Lutyens, the Church of St Jude is located in Hampstead Garden Suburb. Known for his imaginative and adaptive architectural style, Lutyens was also the architect behind Barnet’s second Grade II listed building.
