What to know before applying

Barnet has 16 conservation areas, and Hampstead Garden Suburb has its own Trust whose consent is needed in addition to planning permission. Article 4 directions remove permitted development rights in several areas, and the borough has an Article 4 direction controlling conversions of family houses into small HMOs. We check every designation on your address before design starts.
