What to know before applying

Enfield has 22 conservation areas, including Winchmore Hill Green and Enfield Town, and Article 4 directions in several of them. The borough also has an Article 4 direction requiring planning permission for conversions of houses into small HMOs. Large areas of Green Belt in the north limit what can be built on edge-of-borough plots.
